The Vermont Autism Task Force will host the annual Autism Awareness Day on April 1. Featuring internationally acclaimed author and self-advocate Stephen Shore, PhD. Come and meet with other people on the spectrum plus families, legislators and state officials.

3:30 Free Coaching Session, “How To Speak With Your Legislator”, presented by Kirsten Murphy in room 10
4:00 Sit In A Legislative Hearing at Senate Education Committee Room.
4:00 Meet and Greet With Other Families and State Legislators, State House Cafeteria (refreshments provided). Karly Fereday, Miss Vermont International, will be greeting visitors. Search and Rescue team Rook and Amanda from New England K-9 Search and Rescue will be available to answer questions about Search & Rescue.
4:30-6:00 Autism Awareness Day program including internationally acclaimed author and Self-‐Advocate, Dr. Stephen Shore will be presenting “Unlimited Potential”. State House Cafeteria. Other speakers include Tracey Bowen, parent from Arlington and Kris Medina, a self-advocate. State House Cafeteria. Vermont Autism Task Force Appreciation Award for Amy Cohen and former Commissioner of DVHA, Mark Larson.
